Brodinski and Gesaffelstein, aka Louis Roge and Mike Lévy, are two of France’s finest techno exports – alongside luminaries such as Daft Punk and Cassius. Riding on a wave of darkwave techno power, they’ve moved together from strength to strength, from early releases on seminal label Turbo (handpicked by the smoothest man in dance music, Tiga) to breakthrough remixes and the foundation by Brodinski and Manu Barron of Bromance, acclaimed worldwide as one of the most cutting-edge record labels today.

In 2012, Gesaffelstein released Aleph, a masterpiece of a debut album, taking his trademark stark new wave sound, slowing it down and flipping it completely. Complemented by his acclaimed production of “Black Skinhead” on Kanye West’s landmark “Yeezus”, and a sold-out worldwide tour, this marked the dawning upon the world of a blazing-hot talent, and a producer capable of transcending the studio and blowing away audiences live.

Brodinski (renowned as the dj’s dj), remains one of the finest performers behind two turntables. His grounding in hip-hop and the nascent modern techno scene fuses into one dynamic whole, and alongside his Bromance crew, is something that must be seen. His remixes for myriad artists including Nero, Destructo and many others, alongside his original, haunting work as G.Vump (alongside Guilliame from The Shoes), are some of the finest pieces of dancefloor music. This is the dawn of something vital, brilliant and brutal.

Their debut Australian performance at Motorik saw triple the venue’s legal capacity attempt to squeeze inside.
