Under the sun and into the starry night, the spirit of dance nrg lives on and lives wildly, at our new sometimes-home, The Factory Theatre, in deepest, ravingest, most industrial Marrickville. An open-air lifestyle house delight in the afternoon, into a big-room techno party in the night, with some of Australia’s most legendary vibe-controllers taking you to the next astral plane.

★ LATE NITE TUFF GUY ★
The undisputed king of global discothequno. From his legendary “I Get Deep” edit to his residency at Berghain, this man is the real deal. Global in style, Adelaideian in life, Housemaster Cam Bianchetti is a true living legend and is helming a 3hr set of Late Nite Tuff guy acid-funk-techno-disco.

★ FANTASTIC MAN ★
Emerging as the alter ego of Melbournian producer Mic Newman, Fantastic Man presents an honest interpretation of house music. Delicate by nature and emotionally charged, his considered productions are authentic and give the audience an insight towards the complex simplicities of the man himself. Whether it stems from his passion for globetrotting, or just his immense love for Hot Sauce, either way, he is responsible for sold-out records on an array of international institutions, such as New York’s Let’s Play House, London’s Wolf Music and his own Fine Choice Records. His music is held in high regard, with appearances on compilations, including the coveted DJ Kicks, along with accolades from countless luminaries ranging from the likes of Larry Heard to Etienne de Crécy. As a DJ, Fantastic Man treads the vast territory between house and techno with World influences and a heavy nod to Detroit and Chicago. With a busy worldwide tour schedule, Fantastic Man is in the constant pursuit of paradise – and with a gentle hand – will take you along for the ride, if only so he can lead you down a winding path into the haze and strobe light.

★ ITCH-E AND SCRATCH-E ★
Inspired by the remnants of the post punk/electronic/noise scene of the 80’s, and coinciding with the rise of “techno” and rave culture in the early 90’s, Itch-E & Scratch-E were born. Their the single “Sweetness and Light” which became a crossover hit breaking down barriers between the underground and the overground. Then came an ARIA Award for Best Dance Release in 1994, and Paul Mac fulfilled every parent’s nightmare when he thanked the ecstasy dealers in his speech. The song’s deep connection with music fans was recently confirmed when it appeared at 26 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 Of All Time. Reuniting for a special live set under the stars in the courtyard at MTK, this is going to be one of the most MTKXTCNRG moments ever.

★ DJ HMC ★
The techno alter-ego of Late Nite Tuff Guy, and the true originator of techno in Australia – a truly forward thinking and rave-destroying deliverer of partysensation. Boys Noize, Nina Kraviz and a myriad of other huge artists have been smashing his legendary hits “Cum On” and “Phreakin” for years… another 3 hour set in the technodrome at night beckons.

★ PHIL SMART and FRANCIS XAVIER ★
Do they need any introduction? Phil Smart is one of the original rave kings of Australia and the world – voted into the DJ Mag Top 100 more times than we can count, and alongside his homie and production partner Francis Xavier (aka 1/2 of The Finger Prince, and 1/3 of ARIA Award winners Infusion and 1/1 prince of vibe) – with a new EP forthcoming on MTK, these Burning Man refugees are going to set you on fire (in a nice, sweet, bass-pumping fashion).

★ STEREOGAMOUS ★
The shining lights of the hugnotechno scene globally. Paul Mac requires no introduction, and Seymour Butz aka Jonny Seymour should require none either – as the founder of legendary homorave Kooky and one of the world’s most sought after fashion show soundtrackers, he’s got a bag of tricks bigger than your usual. With a fresh new 12″ forthcoming for MTK, we’re proud to welcome these two kings of cuddle to the MTK stage for the second time, and a proper initiation into the MTKXTCNRG way of life. Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines.
